iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program [News]

If you purchased your iPhone 5 between September 2012 and January 2013 and you’re experiencing shorter battery life or it needs to be charged more frequently, your iPhone 5 may qualify for Apple’s battery replacement program.

Currently this program is only available in the U.S. and China with more countries being added later this month. If you would like to see if your iPhone 5 qualifies for the battery replacement program visit this link to the Apple website and input your iPhone 5 serial number.

If your iPhone 5 is part of the affected batch of devices, take it in to any Apple store or an authorized Apple service provider where they’ll verify it’s in working order and eligibility for the battery replacement program.

This battery replacement program doesn’t extend the standard warranty coverage for your iPhone 5. The program only covers your iPhone 5 battery for two years after its original purchase date or until March 1, 2015, whichever provides longer coverage for your battery.
